Supporting improvement in social care, health and public services

West Wales Care Partnership

The West Wales Care Partnership was established to oversee the continued transformation and integration of health, social care and wellbeing services in the West Wales area. The Partnership brings together the three local authorities in West Wales, Hwyl Dda University Health Board, and representatives of the third and independent sector.

Case Study – Workforce Analysis

Practice Solutions was commissioned to identify potential risk areas and good practice in the recruitment and retention of statuatory front line social work roles in both Children’s and Adult Services.

Our team assessed the current state of the social worker workforce, gathered primary data on recruitment and retention, and researched both quantiative and qualitive data for a detailed report.

The final report offered a number of recommendations for the Partnership to help improve the recruitment and retention of workers across the four counties.
