Vince James is a Social Worker with over 35 years’ experience in social care and Welsh local government. Vince has expansive experience in Adult Services both at a frontline and senior leadership level. His focus has been on service transformation and developing an empowered, highly skilled and confident workforce.
Vince has also worked at a local authority corporate level with a focus on policy development in employment, equality, human rights, Welsh Language and community cohesion. As part of this he has developed and implemented key policies and procedures relating to addressing domestic violence, and workplace bullying and harassment. He has also worked with the voluntary, private sector and other statutory organisations in developing innovation in local services to disadvantaged communities.
Now semi-retired Vince still undertakes occasional frontline social work via agency placements to keep sight of the changing realities and challenges of practice in the field.
