Practice Solutions is proud to support the Wales Mental Health and Wellbeing Forum, a group of people with lived experience of mental health issues who directly influence decision-making at a local and national level.
This year, the Forum is holding its second annual conference, bringing together people with lived experience of mental health issues, professionals, carers, friends and family for a day of conversation, collaboration and co-production.
We asked Forum member Sharon Phillips to share more details about this exciting event:
We’re excited to be hosting our second conference in Llandudno on Wednesday 25 June at Venue Cymru, with the theme “involving lived experience with co-production”.
We held our first conference last year in Cardiff and received some fantastic feedback. We’re now building on these foundations to make this years’ event even better.
We have a packed day full of inspirational speakers including Tom Fitzsimmons, an author and former ultra-marathon runner. Tom became an alcoholic aged 13 and lived with addiction for over 20 years.
Members of the Forum will also speak about our work and how being involved has helped improve our health and wellbeing.
The conference is an excellent opportunity to network with other organisations and those with lived experience, finding ways that we can work together to improve services.
We have a number of exhibitor stands where organisations can share their services and support, and we’re delighted to be joined by the Llandudno Tenovus Sing With Us choir.
Tickets are now sold out, but you can sign up to the waiting list for any last minute drop outs.
